Universal speaker unit with built-in relay (for controlling an electric door lock), designed for the installation of the 2-WIRES audio system in both new and refurbished setups where “special” pushbutton panels are present or required (such as mailboxes, patterned brass, compact sheet metal units, etc.) that are pre-configured for a traditional speaker module (e.g., 2659N).
The universal speaker unit includes terminals for connecting up to 4 call pushbuttons and 1 local door release pushbutton. For systems with more than 4 call pushbuttons, it is necessary to add item 346993, with 1 unit required for every 8 pushbuttons (up to a maximum of 100 pushbuttons). The multi-cable with 2 connectors supplied with item 346993 must be used for the connection.
Microphone sensitivity and speaker volume can be adjusted using dedicated potentiometers. The microphone of the speaker unit can be detached and placed at a distance of up to 15 cm from the device. In video systems, the device must be paired with cameras featuring coaxial output using interface 347400.
